Everything fails, all the time! Engineers should build architectures and applications with this concept in mind.

This session will take you through the 5 stages of architecture maturity to build resilient, scalable, and global applications for the modern cloud world.

  • We will cover concepts & considerations you should be aware of including resiliency choices, cost efficiency, performance, and security.
  • We will dive into code samples and compare the options across multiple cloud providers including Google Cloud and AWS.
  • Finally, we will look at how deployment of this architecture can be automated.

Interview:

What is your session about, and why is it important for senior software developers? Why should attendees prioritize your session?

This session will be a little different from the normal conference talk. Come experience a design session where you will learn how to evolve a cloud architecture to support a globally scalable, resilient application in the cloud.

What are the common challenges developers and architects face in this area?

It's not easy to deploy cost efficient architectures and keep your infrastructure management burden in check.

What's one thing you hope attendees will implement immediately after your talk?

I hope attendees will use serverless concepts to implement cost & performance efficiency in their apps.

What makes InfoQ Dev Summit stand out as a conference for senior software professionals?

InfoQ/QCon focuses on sharing real world knowledge and examples from other professionals. The content is valuable and applicable to a wide range of industries.

What does being part of InfoQ Dev Summit mean to you?

It's amazing to have a chance to continue supporting InfoQ as a speaker. I love sharing my Cloud experience with others and learning what challenges my peers are trying to solve.
