Oktoberfest is the largest folk festival in the world and contributes significantly to Munich's fame around the world. Oktoberfest will take place on Munich's Theresienwiese, a 30-minute train ride away from the conference venue, during September 21 to October 6, 2024. The conference venue in contrast is located in a quiet area north of Munich's city center.

If you are looking to combine your conference attendance with a trip to Oktoberfest, make sure to inform yourself ahead of time to plan your visit. While there is no entrance fee to enter Oktoberfest, the seats in the popular festive tents might sell out quickly.

The conference venue, the Hilton Munich Park, is located in a quite area 30-40 minutes away from Theresienwiese which makes it easy to avoid Oktoberfest for those who prefer to stay away from the crowds.
